Building Green

We all share a responsibility to respect and preserve the environment we live, work and play in.

At McIntrye Construction, we accept these responsibilities while striving to create superbly crafted, sustainably-built new and remodeled homes.  The homes we build and remodel are comprehensively managed to be completed on budget and on time, as well as comfortable, durable and energy efficient.  The road to sustainability has many forks and curves and we have the knowledge to guide this process and to assure that you realize the home of your dreams.

Any new construction or remodel project represents a great deal of energy and materials.  It is an extension of our responsibility to create a home that is built to last and be as energy efficient as possible.  To this end, we invest a great deal of attention to the details that most directly affect the durability and efficiency of any home.  After all, a home should last 100+ years, and decisions and details considered during construction can have a dramatic impact on life cycle costs of a building.

Energy Audits and Home Improvement

Step 1: Comprehensive Home Audit (CHA):

The CHA is a thorough audit, performed by an in-house, or independent, certified technician using the latest technology.

  • Identify sources of wasted energy and discomfort
  • Present the most cost effective solutions
  • Create an action plan unique to your home.

Step 2: Performance Contracting:  Implement solutions identified by home audit.

  • Present estimate and schedule for proposed work
  • Manage install process to highest possible standards and verify results.

Whether your home is 100 years old, 5 years old, or still in the design phase, we can help you make sensible, cost effective decisions towards real improvements in efficiency, comfort and health.

Let's work together on meeting our energy conservation responsibilities for a Sustainable Future.
